History

In 1981, the school, then Young Achievers Learning and Child Care, started as a pre-school learning center with twenty-two pupils offering nursery, kindergarten and preparatory courses.

After seven years the school's vision to open the elementary level was realized. Initially, it offered a course in the primary level. With the intention to promote Catholic Faith, the name "ESCUELA DE SAN LORENZO RUIZ (ESLR)", named after the first Filipino saint, was adopted. 1990 is considered a very significant year since the school had its first commencement exercises for the grade school department.

In response to the demand of the community to offer complete basic education, ESLR gave way to the opening of the secondary course in 1995 with first and second year as the initial levels. Finally after two years, the first graduates left their Alma Mater to face a more challenging stage in education.
